On Thursday, January 8, 2026, Brightstone Management took over management of 4069–4089 Minnesota Avenue, a property long known as Minnesota Commons Apartments. For far too long, the tenants who called Minnesota Commons home have endured unsafe conditions, unresolved maintenance issues, excessive trash buildup, illegal dumping, vacant units, and the lasting effects of illegal construction and prolonged litigation tied to previous ownership.
Today marks a turning point.
This work cannot be done by one company or one person alone. It takes a community coming together to make real change. All it truly takes is people who have love, care, and compassion in their hearts, people who are willing to step in and do the right thing on behalf of tenants. That is exactly what our plan is about: showing care, love, humility, and ensuring that every tenant is treated with dignity and respect at all times.
There are currently 20 tenants living at Minnesota Commons, and these tenants have endured far more than anyone should. They have lived through ongoing drug activity, multiple shootings near and on the property, unsafe building conditions, and years of neglect. They deserve a clean, safe path forward, and they deserve to be heard.
Our mission is simple and unwavering: restore safety, stability, and trust. That means responding to every maintenance request, securing the property, and addressing long-standing issues head-on, starting now.
Over the next 60 days, our team will focus on stabilizing the property by putting clear systems in place that make communication easier and more effective. Tenants will have straightforward ways to submit maintenance requests and receive timely responses. We are working to establish an on-site office so support is accessible, visible, and accountable. We will also take decisive action to secure the property, address illegal dumping, remediate unsafe conditions, and relocate tenants into safer units on the property where necessary. In addition, we will hire SPO officers to ensure the property is properly secured once and for all.
At the heart of this work is our commitment to people. We believe every tenant deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued, every single day. Our core principles are rooted in service, transparency, and compassion, and we bring those values into every community we serve.
